Commercial Description:
Fish Tale IPA is a medium bodied ale with a bright golden color and robust strength. While Pale, Carastan, and Munich malts lend a gentle sweetness and balance to the background palate, this ale is dedicated to complex hop flavor.

236th rating of this beer. Enjoyed at the Green Festival in the Beer Garden. Earthy aroma of floral hops, toasty malts, light sweetness. Pours amber with a thin head. Toasty, earthy, floral with a pleasant bitter kick. Pleasant beginner IPA, nice session ale.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with a smallish white head. Aroma is pleasant piney hops, not very strong though. The whole thing seemed kind of muted. Earthy and hoppy with a decent biscuit malt backing, but thin bodied and without much of a finish.

Slightly hazy copper coloured body with a thinnish slightly off-white head. Very nice potent aroma of floral and citrusey hops with a lot of metallic scents and a pungent sweetness - nice! Medium-bodied; Strong astringent hops up front showing flowers and citrus with a light pineyness fading to a subtle malt backbone and an almost too mild finish. Aftertaste shows a very mild hoppiness with not malt backbone - interesting. Overall, a good beer at first then turns very disappointing! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from BottleWorks in Seattle, Washington [State] on 11-November-2009, sampled at home here in Washington [the capital one] on 26-March-2009.

12 ounce bottle purchased at Total Wine in Roseville. The label is notched at November, so this is 3-4 months old. Aroma has some light metallic and herbal hop notes, which are not overly aggressive. There is more maltiness in this. Some husky malts with a little sweet molasses, too. Doesn’t smell much like an IPA. Mildly hazy copper-amber body with a small off-yellow head. Earthy, herbal hop bite to start, before a little caramel malt sweetness takes over. Finishes with a good dose of grapefruity C hops. A little dry and a bit warming. This is slightly oxidized.

Bottle pours a hazy copper orange color with a dense off white head. Floral hop aroma. Decent malty backbone mixed with the hop bitterness. I haven’t found too many organic beers that I like but this one is pretty good.

This orange/copper ale poured with a decent beige head and a floral aroma. This is a well-balanced brew, starting with a sweet caramel malt flavor that is soon usurped by significant, but not overwhelming hop bitterness with a pine trailer. The flavor is slightly too thin for an IPA, but overall a pretty tasty beverage.
