Commercial Description:
Fish Tale IPA is a medium bodied ale with a bright golden color and robust strength. While Pale, Carastan, and Munich malts lend a gentle sweetness and balance to the background palate, this ale is dedicated to complex hop flavor.

Another West Coast IPA. It didn’t vary too greatly from the Fish Tale pale ale...just a bit hoppier of course, but both had plenty of bitterness and a blend of sweet notes through the finish. Bottle.

What a nice beer. Pours a vibrant orange colour with medium sized white head. I really love the clean, refreshing taste of an organic beer. It tastes very crisp, and many flavors and aromas run through this into your mouth. A generous amount of citrusy hops with plenty of grapefruit, and pear aromas.

citrusy earthy aromas followed by sweet grapefruit/malt/peppery hops explosion and a nice caramel/malt finish

3/20/08 On draught at Crab Pot Restaurant, Bellevue, Wa. Aroma is sweet, fruity and floral, dominated by cascade. Appearance is gold with a low white head. Flavor is earthy, fruity and again dominated by hop flora rather than bittering. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carb . Overall, not bad, but not very easy drinking. 4/6/08 On draught at the Budd Bay Café. Aroma is highly floral with light balancing sweetness. Appearance is hazy copper gold with a very well maintained white head. Flavor is c-hop forward with a good sweet malt background and light resiny finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a medium high carb texture. Overall, not bad, very clean, could just have a little bit nicer finish.

Pours copper with an off white head. Smells of citrus, earthy, some tea, some dry malt, hints of sugar, spice. Tastes peppery with some caramel and resiny hints and a touch of spice on the finish.

this ought to be worked into an amber ale, but that is just my honest opinion--fruity, flowery flavor and aroma taken away by the notes of water and boring malts; meh, but hey cool label yo!

A strong head promises a hearty drink. Tastes heavily of pine with a bit berries mixed in. Finish is fairly flat which takes a bit away from what is otherwise a fine IPA.
