Commercial Description:
Fish Tale IPA is a medium bodied ale with a bright golden color and robust strength. While Pale, Carastan, and Munich malts lend a gentle sweetness and balance to the background palate, this ale is dedicated to complex hop flavor.

12oz bottle. bottled a month ago. thanks to suzygreenberg for this nice extra. pours clear amber with off white head. aroma is earthy - dirt and grass, some pine and grapefruit too, a green hop presence as this almost seems wet hopped by some wet hopped beer standards. flavors are too earthy in a dirt sort of way, an earthy moldy orange, some grass and grapefruit. not sure why the dirt flavors are so strong as this comes off like a wet hopped beer. this clearly isn’t hoppy enough for an ipa label. glad to try this though.

Nice and hoppy. Reminds of Deschutes Hop Trip although not entirely. I agree that this doesnt say "IPA". Possess a sweet fruity aroma along side a cider appearance. The description says 5.5% but the bottle says 6.5 which it tastes like. The alcohol is nicely hidden initially but has a small bite towards the end.

2008 Bottle - Aroma of flowers and cirtus, this is not so much an "IPA" I feel as it is a strong pale, but I absolutely love it. Bitter and balanced, this is one of the best surprises I have stumbled upon in some time. It is medium bodied enough to enjoy year round, and the hops (like a floral bouquet) will satisfy for an IPA drinker and not scare off a bud light drinker, a great middle road brew; I will be drinking this for some time...

Clear amber with small head that fades to thin ring rather quickly. Smells slightly sweet and caramalty with some astringent hoppiness. Some sweet caramel and slightly roasty malt flavors with fruity bitterness that leaves an aspirin-like aftertaste. Pretty astringent and thin tasting overall, wouldn’t buy again.

On tap at McCormick & Schmick in Tigard, OR. Pours a cloudy light golden color with a minimal white head. Aroma is hops with a bit of malt. Palate is dry with a slight bitter taste with citrusy hops and a mild aftertaste. Average, but very drinkable.

draft. no head, dark gold moving to brown on the edges. only some wildflowers and topsoil on the nose. very earthy floral flavor and texture. great swirl of delicate flavors but the trapped carbonation holds it back. i need to pour one myself

[Bottle] Pours golden-orange with a small cream colored head. Quite a good hoppy aroma. Taste is strong with piney hops with some citrus also present. Medium mouthfeel. A pretty good beer, although after learning about what makes other products able to be certified organic I am left wondering what the criteria is for beer.
