Commercial Description:
Named for the majestic creatures which embody the proud spirit of the Republic of Cascadia, Wild Salmon Pale Ale is a light bodied and beautifully balanced Northwest-style pale ale. Its gentle sweetness, drawn from Pale, Carastan, Vienna, Cara-pils, and Honey malts is nicely matched by Chinook hops and late additions of Cascade and Willamette hops. Northwest Pale Ale enthusiasts will love this beer as much as they love the beautiful region which has inspired it. In firm commitment to our love of the Great Northwest, the people at Fish Tale Ales are donating a portion of the proceeds from sales of each case and each keg of Wild Salmon Pale Ale to the Save Our Wild Salmon Coalition, helping to rebuild healthy runs of wild Pacific salmon and steelhead. On draught or by the bottle, this treat from Fish Tale Ales is remarkably bright with a brilliant golden color and thick creamy head. Wild Salmon Pale Ale is sparkling and crisp with a fresh hop aroma and refreshing finish.

12 oz. bottle via trade with tytoanderso - Pours a hazy golden color with a 1/2 finger thick off white head. Very light spotty lacing. Aroma is spiced pine hops. Flavor is lightly toasted malt and hops. Palate is a tad thin, but has no lingering unpleasant aftertastes. Light to medium body. A decent beer. Thanks Tyler.

3 oz. sample from the Green Festival in Seattle. Although the cups they were doling out were not clear, the beer seemed overly cloudy and simply unappetizing. Decent carbonation with a hint of flower on the tongue (I’m afraid I can’t specify what kind of flower). A mid finish makes this an interesting beer.

Appearance: Pours a rather clear, orangey-copper body sporting a small ring of white bubbles. Smell: Scent of sweaty grains with notes of herbs and lemon zest. Taste: Mild maltiness with just a touch of caramel sweetness and a hint of grains. Dash of clean water. Hop flavors of citrus and aged dried herbs but with only a mild bitterness. Finishes crisp with an equally mild bitterness. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Not the most thrilling beer I’ve come across, but I suppose it’s decent enough for an organic brew. Let’s leave it at that.

Pours a beautiful copper color with a white head. Aroma is some malt and pungent citrus hops. Flavor is malty, a touch of apple, and a citrus hop finish.

Poured a nice amber color from the 12 ounce bottle minimal white head with generous amount of lacings. Label says 5.5% abv. Nice hoppiness without much bitterness. Malts are sweet without being overdone. All told this is a very nice beer. Has just the slightest earthy funk in the taste profile. Label states "keep refrigerated". And it wasn’t when I bought it. Would love to try some fresh on tap.

Pours a cloudy light amber with a small white head. Aroma is lots of hops. Taste of caramel and hops. A good hoppy beer.
