Commercial Description:
Named for the majestic creatures which embody the proud spirit of the Republic of Cascadia, Wild Salmon Pale Ale is a light bodied and beautifully balanced Northwest-style pale ale. Its gentle sweetness, drawn from Pale, Carastan, Vienna, Cara-pils, and Honey malts is nicely matched by Chinook hops and late additions of Cascade and Willamette hops. Northwest Pale Ale enthusiasts will love this beer as much as they love the beautiful region which has inspired it. In firm commitment to our love of the Great Northwest, the people at Fish Tale Ales are donating a portion of the proceeds from sales of each case and each keg of Wild Salmon Pale Ale to the Save Our Wild Salmon Coalition, helping to rebuild healthy runs of wild Pacific salmon and steelhead. On draught or by the bottle, this treat from Fish Tale Ales is remarkably bright with a brilliant golden color and thick creamy head. Wild Salmon Pale Ale is sparkling and crisp with a fresh hop aroma and refreshing finish.

Bottle shared with Blankboy, GregClow, Mds, and Hogtown Harry, my bottle. Medium yellow, small white head. Awful aroma - minerally, stale beach water, yuck. Taste better - decent hops, refreshing balanced pale. It is kind of odd though - like a bitter wheat. I tried, but this is not good.

Bottle (12oz). Shared with blankboy, GregClow, mds, tupalev, tupalev’s bottle. Cloudy bright orange, average fizzy/bubbly off-white head. Soft, mild aroma of wheat and very weak citrus malt, very light dry hops. Taste - mmm - odd; dry cereal malt, slightly sour grain, very dry and stale hops - ehh. Soft mouthfeel, not much carbonation, quick finish and an odd almost lactic aftertaste. Didn’t like it much - a bit like a sour english pale.

Bottle. Poured pale amber with a white head. Much lacing. Aroma of fruit, medium to faint. Balanced body, malt and hops, not overwhelming. Slight hoppiness in the finish. Refreshing on a hot day and a good workaday pale.

Good citrusy pale with a crisp tangerine finish. Great hoppy american pale that strikes a good blend between the caramel and bready malts and the floral hop finish. They didn’t go over the top on the bitterness which is nice, more drinkable pale results.

A bit disapointing, as there was hardly any salmon flavors at all... Anyway, pretty much an average, well made session ale, with a nice woodsy, herbal hop bite.

Golden color, small white head. Light yeasty, rye bread aroma. Hoppy, light lemon and malt flavors. Some sweet notes. Not very exiciting.

Bottled. Deep golden, brief head. Grapefruity hops on top a light caramelly malt. Medium sweet with rounded mouthfeel, perhaps somewhat papery. Medium bitterness. Less hoppy than expected.
