12 oz bottle. Super roasty and super dark with a tan head. Aromas were chocolate and other malts. Sweet on the flavor and hoppy on the finish. Very Good

Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, and light fruit. Flavors are also of roasted coffee and chocolate. A little bit of a lingering bitterness in the finish; not a hoppy bitterness. This is probably the one thing that distinguishes it from a lot of other imperial stouts. Finish is also dry and (as another rater said) a little chalky. Overall, a very decent impy stout. Not the best, but certainly not the worst

Courtesy TheCheeseMan. Pours a dark but translucent chestnut brown color. A small, foamy tan head settles to a swirly film with a small edge. Minimal spotty lacing noted. Resembles a porter more than an imperial stout. Aromas included baker’s chocolate, lightly roasted coffee, light cream, and vanilla. There’s a light woodsy note, as well as a light dose of floral hops. Flavors mostly follow suit, but everything is muted a bit by the roast. Tastes like a solid vanilla porter with roasted coffee and baker’s chocolate. Medium bodied and dry, the mouthfeel falls short of what I would expect for an imperial stout. Finishes chalky. Not very impressive, but still enjoyable.

bottled in august, nothing about a year... impenetrable black pour with a fluffy light brown head that has nice retention and some spotty lacing. aromas of chocolate and some sort of fruit are the only things that stand out. the flavor is chocolate and the same unidentifiable fruit along with vanilla, nice cigar and a light ashiness. slightly astringent coffee like finish and aftertaste. medium body with a soft texture. bordering one dimensional....

Via trade with stefanje. Thanks man! This is a decent imperial stout. Not too alky and not too offensive to drink as a session beer. Aroma was nice. A bit of coffee but a nice hoppy note in the background. Pour was a deep dark brown, near black with a generous 2 finger tan head. Taste was usual impy stout. Strong coffee flavor with roasted malt while in the mouth. After the swallow, a bitter hop bit dries the mouth. Very drinkable and polite.

Bottle from mcbackus: Pours a black offset bown with white head. Aoma is sweet with bakers chocolate. Body is watery. Taste is dry with bakers chocolate and light nose of camel. Fiish is dry and slighty metallic.

12oz bottle..... pours pretty close to black with brown adges and a soapy thin light brown head.... aroma of chocolate malt, cocoa and plenty of roast.... flavors of chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, and some bitterness in the finish..... can’t say that it was one of my favorites.

Bottle, should be a 2006 the bottle says 8%. Pours a deep black with thin mocha head. Aroma is roasty and lightly coffee. Flavor is much of the same, heavily roasty, with coffee and hints of dark chocolate. Fairly smooth and creamy but on the thinner side of the class. Not bad, not big flavor either though.
