Batch 5. Pours dark brown with a light brown head. Smells of chocolate, coffee beans, biscuits and some spices. Taste is of chocolate, roasted malt and some peppery splashes.

Thanks to Matta for this one. Pours ebony with 2-finger brown head. Perhaps the brownest head I’ve seen since my last trip to a Mississippi State University frat party. The aroma is roasty dark patent malt with chocoff, wheaties, molasses, almonds. Very intense, complex aroma that cannot be denied. The flavor is roasty dark malty, with a big chocoff element, plus some molasses and minor kriek hints. The palate is on the lighter side for this style, still pretty thick but ranging toward medium heft.

A pitch black beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of both chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of both roasted malt, chocolate, and coffee.

Bottle via trade with cbkschubert. Nothing really stood out on this beer. Aroma was decent but the thin head fell flat almost before I could sip it. Pretty good taste that got thinner as I drank it. Not bad but not as good as I hoped. It feels like it’s losing substance. Thanks Craig.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours completely black and opaque with a light brown head. Vinous aroma of raisins and burned malts. Extremely full-bodied with tons of roasted, lightly burned malt and notes of dried fruits. Distinct alcohol and a bitter, burned finish. A gigantic beer - but hard to finish. Simply too rich. 160806 and 070907

Dark, creamy pour. Smell of chocolate, hops, fruit, malt, alcohol and smoked plastic/rubber. Taste of alcohol, chocolate brownies, some hops, oak, smoke and a nice bitterness. You can taste a lot of alcohol in this stout.
