Like a chocolate port in the finish. Enjoyable and good. ratman197 (3214), Arvada, Colorado, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Aug 4, 2006 My brother-in-law and I pitted this against Rogue’s Shakespeare stout. This was the inferior product, but still well worth a try. Black-brown, creamy brown-sugar head. Rich roasted aromas with alcohol tones ominously apparent. Moderately full mouthfeel, oily. Dark chocolate roasty-toasty flavours with very obvious alcohol in the moderately bitter finish. Definitely simplistic and on the harsh side-- like they took a regular stout and jacked it with grain alcohol. Disappointing really. bitbucket (2034), Kirkland, Washington, USA
