| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 8, 2009 Aroma: Dark fruits, very slight sherry notes, caramelly. Flavor: intense rich chocolate cake, moderate roast, complements well with the hop bitterness. Some coffee. Great finish, chocolate lingers on the tongue for ages along with some herbal/woody and citrusy hops underlying. Low carbonation makes this one very smooth. Slightly slick. crowderm (285), Recklinghausen, Germany
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 8, 2009 Thick black pour with a fine looking tan head. The aroma is chocolatey with some mild herbal hop notes as well. Flavor is mildly medicinal at first, but then transitions into an awesome, drawn out chocolate/roast finish. Rich, creamy mouthfeel. Very nice beer. douglas88 (1659), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 7, 2009 Bomber thanks to dchmela. Pours a pure black color with a very large light brown head. The aroma is sweet malts, some herbal hops also. The flavor was initially dominated by a medicinal/herbal hop flavor, light roasted flavors and a slightly bitter chocolate and hop finish. Odd. I’m not getting much of the roasted or chocolate malts at all. The bitter chocolate perhaps mixes with the hops to seem medicinal. Not horrible, but not my favorite impy. A nice mouthfeel. lakersfan16 (53), Anchorage, Alaska, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 3, 2009 Pours thick black, nice tan head. Slight aroma of hops, not as strong as a lot of imperial stouts. Great balance of taste, nothing overpowers. Good finish. kiefdog (1633), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 30, 2009 Pours thick black with with some brown head. Very typical imperial stout aroma, and its still great in this one too. Big bitter chocolate, coffee, and roasted notes with a bit of vanilla. Flavors are a bit milder which makes this easily drinkable. Silky with a touch of prickly carbonation. Very good. sebletitje (1986), Tampa, Florida, USA

Pours deep black with tan/golden head.
Aroma had touch of dark fruit, with malts and light chocolate.
Taste of roasted malts, thick mouthfeel with chocolate for a light bitter touch / malty finish.
Overall palate seemed a little weak. daknole (3000), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 20, 2009 Bottle. Black pour with a tan head. Aroma is full of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, and hops. Body is really damn watery and flavor is a bit harsh and tart...this beer is fucking overrated for sure.
