2006 bottle courtesy of Dogbrick sampled at the Hopsnobbery Collective stout tasting on 1.16.09. Black in color with a medium off-white head. Sweet chocolate aroma with some hop and bread. Malty chocolate flavor with a creamy coffee finish. Good stuff.

2006 bottle sampled at the Hopsnobbery Collective Stout tasting on 01/16/09. The beer pours black with a medium thick tan head that recedes steadily. Patchy lacing on the glass. Coffee, chocolate and lightly floral hops in the nose. Full body with flavors of roasted malt, coffee and hops. Nice dark fudge character as well. The finish is moderately bitter coffee with a dark chocolate aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

2006 bottle. Very impressed with the hops in this one. Well balanced and tasty. A different imperial stout but very good. A bit light for a stout, Solid beer would buy again

This poured black with a thin light brown head. Aromas were of rich Vahrona chocolate, dark fruits and vanilla. In the mouth this was light..for a stout...to medium-bodied with lots of carbonation and a smooth midpalate. Overall it was a bit simple but was well-balanced and enjoyable.

Thanks to Mikeale via Cellar BIF ’08 (BA) for this beer. Vintage 2006. Dark black if there’s such a thing. Mocha colored foamy 2 finger head fades slowly as the aromas of an insane amount of molasses, dark raisins and prunes. Lots and lots of sticking! Great flavor of viscousy bitter chocolate. Coats the throat like motor oil and sticky candy bars. A very nice balanced mouthfeel with a huge amount of after taste. Molasses and BITTER BITTER chocolate. Very smooth going down. It just sticks in the throat! Just name the occasion where it would be ok to drink more than 1 of these. Damn man. Mikeale, can you get me some more....Vintage ’06 please mr.waiter...

Bottle 8% batch from Bev’s for less in Santee. Pours motor oil black with a thin tan ring. Light presence of smoke on the nose as well as toasted malts, chocolate and coffee. A light bit of smoke in the flavor as well. A very full bodied brew.

[Bottle] Pours black with a fine tan head. Aroma is bittersweet chocolate, roasted barley, and candi sugar. Flavor is a chocolate bomb, lactose, and roasted malts with a slightly metallic and very dry roasty finish. Medium to rich mouthfeel.
