[1510-20080704] 650mL bottle. Dark roasted malt aroma. Dark dark brown red body with a medium-lasting creamy tan head. Strong and dark roasted coffee malt flavour. Full body. Enjoyable.

Bomber from mcbackus via trade. The pour was on the light side for an IS. Ruby highlights streamed through. A decent tan head formed. The aroma was light chocolate, roasted malt some faint floral hops and coffee bitterness. The flavor followed along with roasted, smoky flavors mixing with coffee and some chocolate. Decent mouthfeel and a tight finish. Not bad.

12oz Thanks McBackus. Black pour, small brown head. Aroma is soy sauce, dark chocolate, a hint of tobacco. Flavor is the same big dark chocolate with some soy/teryaki going on and some tobacco. Fruity hops in the finish, citrus and some pine with caramel sweetness and coffee as it warms. Slightly sweet yet bitter and aggressive and seems tougher than 8%.

12oz bottle shared thanks to zinister. Pours black with almost no head. Nose is roasty with chocolate and molasses. Taste is of chocolate with slight coffee and sugar. Mouthfeel was medium-to-thin with a dry aftertaste.

Thanks to bockyhorsey for handing me this bottle. Shared with MaltOMeal and thickfreakness. Pours a dark chocolate color with a small mocha head. Nose is dark chocolate, fudge and coffee...very nice. Flavor is chocolate and espresso. Has a drying finish. It is a bit thin. Thanks Bill!

12oz bottle served at cellar temperature. Nice aroma of chocolate, plum, molasses, and light roasty malt. Poured and opaque black color. The head was light brown with an orange tint. It retained its height fairly well and left some lace on the glass. Medium to full bodied with a slick mouth feel. The sugars that greeted my tongue were mitigated only slightly by bitter roasted malt. Milk chocolate, subdued coffee, caramel, and alcohol flavors mingled in my mouth. Pretty good stuff.

Pours a real dark brown with a decent sized dark tan head. Aroma of chocolate, hops, alcohol. Flavor is more sweet than bitter, a little thin.

Not really sure what to make of this one. Fairly weak for a stout, and not really sure why it’s ranked in the 95 percentile. Pours watery, with a frothy brown lacing. Flavor is slightly boozy, with a mix of chocolate, malt, and hops. This one just didn’t stand out to me, but luckily I have a second bottle so I can give it another shot.
