grimreeser (600), Minnesota, USA Jun 25, 2008 Updated: Jul 1, 2008Pours a real dark brown with a decent sized dark tan head. Aroma of chocolate, hops, alcohol. Flavor is more sweet than bitter, a little thin. StFun (247), Indiana, USA Jun 23, 2008 Not really sure what to make of this one. Fairly weak for a stout, and not really sure why it’s ranked in the 95 percentile. Pours watery, with a frothy brown lacing. Flavor is slightly boozy, with a mix of chocolate, malt, and hops. This one just didn’t stand out to me, but luckily I have a second bottle so I can give it another shot. The_Epeeist (867), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 22, 2008 12 oz bottle, 8%. Ebony with a crema head that leaves a ring. Nose is mocha, brown sugar and grass. Medium body with a tang; some building resin. Taste is dark chocolate French roast beans mingled with pink grapefruit, pine and lime. A nicely hopped Impy. IlanMan (431), Winona, Minnesota, USA Jun 19, 2008 Pour was dark with a medium tan head. Aroma was of malt and bitterness. Flavor was of dark roasted malt, dark fruit, and a lot of bitter hops. Good brew. Liked a lot. Would buy again. BOLTZ7555 (400), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Jun 17, 2008 The latte colored head on this beer just never goes away. It’s kind of like that guest that occupies your spare bedroom, eats all of your food and drinks all of your beer. Milk chocolate, dark bitter chocolate, and roasted coffee both in the aroma and flavor. Thick and dark but not viscous. Good beer.
