Black Coloring with Espresso Head. Wonderful Espresso Aroma Perks Up From the Pint....and the Flavor Doesn’t Disappoint! Very Nice and Balanced Espresso Coffee Flavor The Whole Way Through This Brew..The Coffee Flavor Does Not Overpower at Any Point. Very Well Done. .Very Simple Brew But This Stout Instills WHY Simple is GOOD. Very Wonderful.

Black, black, and more black with a thick and towering head. Aroma is powerfully laden with espresso. The taste is... woah... Heaps of espresso pilled into this one. Ask your local coffee shop for a tall iced Americano and you can have an idea as to what this tastes like. It’s a tad on the thin side, but not to a fault. Run like hell from this if you don’t like coffee.

On-tap at the brewpub: Medium black darkness with slivers of ruby and one nice finger high head of stiff tan foam. Impressive thickness in the foam and its staying power is immense as it never leaves the table until your completely finished. Lacing clings to the glass in sheeting foamyness. Aroma is an espresso lovers dream! Perfect blend of fresh espresso beans, as they used 25 pounds of it from the Alakef Cafe down the street, and warm dark chocolate. Roasty cold, edgy cake burntness sits within there too. Wonderful to just sit and sniff this one. Flavors are milding and espresso laden with goodness. At first couple sips it was far too cold yet, so this sit awhile while I moved on to try another of the beers. Once this warmed up, my goodness this was nice. Chocolate fudge, burnt cake, caramel, and a whole bunch of roasty espresso thats deep, dark, and full all the way through to the finish where it drys out like a good roasty coffee brew should. Lingers, coats, soothes, and warms with a great espresso feel and taste. Good hold too, really sinks in and becomes attached to your palate. The feel is the only area I felt this came apart for me. It could have had some extra thickness to it. Its fine, but seemingly missing something. Its not empty and not full, but not right in the middle either for a stout such as this with such a nice flavoring. I wanted more out ifs body which just didn’t quite complete the circle for me. But sakes alive this is good stuff. Damn drinkable and fine tastin’ stuff.
