Fully clouded straw yellow in color. Buttery almond croissant aroma with hints of fruit. A very forward apricot flavor which seems to rub the spicy wheat the wrong way. It’s a quiet fruit used in aggressive quantity, accomplishing something sort of strange. Dry, plastic candy finish. Underwhelming.

On-tap at the brewpub- review notes from 2003: Color is a solid cloud of pale yellow, fluffy solidly thick white head thats sits about a pencil width high and sustains well throughout consumption and leaves lace sticking in tiny spots. Aroma is of a fresh light apricot and apricot skins, quite nice, I just so happen to really like apricots so the smell was dead on, just a bit to light, I want more. Anyways...taste has fluffy wheat grain sweetness thats nice and soft and there’s a milding sense of fresh apricot and has a nice velvety apricot skin dryness in the finish thats light and playful. Pleasant, smooth, and easy sweetness with a close to medium body feel and light wheaty texture. Refreshing and a bit on the lighter side and has a nice drinkablity, its just a tad shy of memorable. Getting close to the Pyramid version which I really like and don’t mind have’n around for beatin’ the easy summer heatin’.

This is an excellent example of an Apricot wheat. A pleasant surprise. Very refreshing and quite tasty.

Pours a hazy orange with off-white head that fades quickly. Strong aroma of apricots and sugar with a dash of wheat. Very fruity, sweet flavor.

Definately copies what the label says... APRICOTS. Strong nose and taste of apricots. Some wheat but not real noticible. Cloudy orange color with little head. Has a very sweet aftertaste. If you’re into fruity beers this would satisfy you.

Very nice apricot aroma. Flavor was mostly apricots with a little wheat. I thought the flavors were nicely balanced. Apricot flavor was not as strong as Pyramid Apricot Ale, which I thought was a good thing. I enjoyed a growler of this while on vacation on the shores of Lake Superior. That may have influenced my rating, but I enjoyed this brew and would have liked to have sampled some more brews from this establishment.

Aroma was appealing. Cloudy golden look. Quite thin on the palate. Wheat was almost absent. Not much nose, fairly boring.
