Glorious apricot--I love it when the fruit really shines through in a authentic (not artificial) way. Fresh, yummy, drinkable. Fizzy. I’m such a sucker for a well-made fruit beer. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 25, 2006 On-tap at the brewpub- review notes from 2003: Color is a solid cloud of pale yellow, fluffy solidly thick white head thats sits about a pencil width high and sustains well throughout consumption and leaves lace sticking in tiny spots. Aroma is of a fresh light apricot and apricot skins, quite nice, I just so happen to really like apricots so the smell was dead on, just a bit to light, I want more. Anyways...taste has fluffy wheat grain sweetness thats nice and soft and there’s a milding sense of fresh apricot and has a nice velvety apricot skin dryness in the finish thats light and playful. Pleasant, smooth, and easy sweetness with a close to medium body feel and light wheaty texture. Refreshing and a bit on the lighter side and has a nice drinkablity, its just a tad shy of memorable. Getting close to the Pyramid version which I really like and don’t mind have’n around for beatin’ the easy summer heatin’. tytoanderso (1387), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 25, 2008 Draft. Arborfest 2008. Lush apricot aroma with traces of cantaloupe and honeydew. Pours a cloudy bright light orange. Flavor of creamy wheat esters and apricot marmalade. Medium bodied with spritzy carbonation. A dusty, dry hay-like finish distracts from the simple and refreshing qualities of the beer.
