JK (2945), Richfield, Minnesota, USA Oct 12, 2008 A coriander bomb, with too much coriander in the aroma and flavor. A little sweet. Light gold color. Only a little wheat. Fitgers can do better, and usually does. badgerben (3586), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Sep 30, 2008 Autumn Brew Review 2008. Copper color with a thin head. Strong, very strong, coriander aroma. Holy crap... and I thought I’ve had coriander smoothies in the past! It’s like chewing on a handful of coriander seeds. Lots of orange and caramel malt flavors. The wheat doesn’t really show up, but it could be burried by a certain spice. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Aug 12, 2008 Sampled on draught at GTMW ’08. Pours a semi-hazy golden pale brew with a thick and slowly dissipating white head that has some nice lacing. Aroma of golden grain malt, apricots, coriander, orange zest, a touch of clove and some flowery hops. Taste is full bodied, very light carbonated with multi-grain malt, coriander, some citrus zest and a touch of clove. Finish has a nice alcohol warmth with a lingering citrus and coriander aftertaste. Hope to see this again at the Autumn Brew Review. Philip (436), Illinois, USA Aug 12, 2008 Great Taste 2008. Once again Fitgers delivered a great lineup to the Great Taste. This is anything but "white" in color. Notes of spice and hay dominating the nose and palate. This was something like the spicing of a fall release/pumpkin beer, without the nastiness of a pumpkin beer. Flavors of clove, cinnamon, pumpernickel bread, and rye dominate the palate. Finish is long lasting and hides the 10% well. Would age wonderfully I imagine.
