Thanks to JK and Badgerben for carting this growler from Duluth. Sampled at the RBSG ’07 Grand Tasting room, pours a hazy golden pale blonde brew with a thin white head with lots of bubbles. Aroma of sour apples, cream of wheat cereal, and a touch of honey. Taste is medium bodied, carbonated and slightly tart to the tongue. Finish is dry and a little towards the sour side. An interesting brew to remember by.

Growler RBSG. Apple aroma without any hint of sourness that is typical of the style. Cloudy, dishwater body with a thin, larger bubble head. Not attractive. Bubbles stick to the glass. An ugly beer. Very sour flavor. Not bad, actually. Nailed the style. More drinkable than the more renowned Schultheiss Berliner Weiss.

Growler... RBSG 07... Murky golden ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Caramelly, acidic aroma... smells a bit like a Luden’s honey cough drop. The flavor is super sour. There’s a light note of honey, but the acidity overrides everything else. Wonderfully unbalanced. Medium to full-bodied and very astringent with tingly carbonation. Finishes extremely tart and Mojave-dry.

RBSG 2007 Grand Tasting - Amber, thin white creamy head. Nose held nice notes of sour lemon, apple skin, and hints of wheat toast. Tangy sour citrus flavors sit on short crisp waves of refreshing apple and honey. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry, tart finish. Extremely well done for this style. Would be easy to polish a growler off on a hot summer day...

RBSG 2007: Growler. Poured murky (is that a word?) Aroma like littel green apples in the summertime. Tasted tart: lemon/lime, acidty finish.

RBSG07. From growler. Pours hazy orange with a crispy disappearing head. Aroma is slight citric and mild sour. Light bodied. Very sour flavour, nice, but not really as good as the originals. Not my first Berliner weisse (just not while on RB). Finish is plain sour. Nice.
