Finally got to try this. Dark brown color with a thin head. Aroma of bourbon and vanilla. Both of those are by far the dominant flavor at first. After warming, a sweet, caramelly malt comes out. Solid.

12 oz. handbottle - thanks to riversideak for sharing; clear, reddish brown with very odd aromas; flat, still, medicinal; syrupy and hot; kind of like paint thinner and very abrasive; brown sugar and syrupy; not sure what’s happening here

12-oz handbottle. Thanks, Riverside! Pours a hazy dark amber with bright rubied highlights. Enormous hot twangy nose that gave me a headrush every time I tried to smell it, even after round after round of aggressive swirling. Smells like paint thinner. Creamy medium body: butter, sherry, and vodka bite on the mid-palate. Yow--lots of QA problems with this one.

Thanks to Hopdog for sharing. Pours a nice deep ruby red- slight haze with no head. Aroma is mostly off- paint thinner, solvents, plasticy phenols, and some hot fusel alcohols mixed in with a harsh metallic maltiness, and bourbon. Flavor is considerably better somehow- and shows a lot of nice caramel and toffee-like malts, ok fruitiness, some vanilla and oak and a slight bit of fruity esters with just a bit of off solvents going on. Strange disparity between the aroma and flavor on this one.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this. Pours a deep brownish red with a smaller off white head that laced. Aroma of dark fruits, nuts, caramel, vanilla, oak, bourbon and light roast. Flavor of the same.

Poured a dark red, mahogany color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark fruits, vanilla, caramel malts, bourbon, nuts, and wood. Taste of caramel malts, vanilla, dried fruits, brown sugar, rum soaked raisins, with some wood, citrus, and a light alcohol finish. Thanks to Steve for sharing!

Growler acquired in trade with tytoanderso (thanks!). Poured a medium reddish-brown color with a very small sized off white head. Aromas of wood/oak, vanilla, bourbon, and lighter dark fruits. Tastes of bourbon, vanilla, wood, brown sugary sweetness, caramel, and lightly fruity. A little vinous/port quality to it as well. Light to medium alcohol in the finish, but I would say it was overall well hidden.
