nearbeer (1833), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 5, 2008 12 oz. Clear, burnt orange with a lasting quarter inch of creamy head. Frosting all over the glass. Grassy grain, honey and light citrus aromas. Smooth flavor blend has some toasted and buttered whole grain bread, touches of honey, mildly tart apple and lemon. Light body has low carbonation and finishes dryish. Surprisingly good beer that tastes more like an English ale. obguthr (986), Poquoson, Virginia, USA Jul 14, 2007 Unique hay and bourbon aroma, well balanced. Piss colored, viscous pour, thin head, some glass coating. Ordinary malt flavor, even balance of corn and barley. Weak finish of hay. Leaves a film on the palate and tongue. Severely lacking in hops. alexanderj (2204), Chino Hills, California, USA Jul 3, 2007 Bottle; aroma of sweet corn and bread. Dullish gold with a small white head. Light bodied, with a nice palate.
