Excellent aroma. Very lemony with notes of honey and a dark fruit not yet experienced by me.
Tangy and citrusy with lots of chardonnay in the flavor. Light-bodied and very astringent. Dry finish. Very nice! Drew (2409), Kent, Ohio, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 16, 2003 Mild and soft - this is a lot lighter looking than the description of "amber" on the label. Moslty malt dominated - bready and almost sweet. Very little hop presence. This would go fine with food. Nothing special, but at least it doesn't taste like adjuncts. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 29, 2003 Proudly served at a Greek restaurant in Columbus, you have to look pretty closely at the bottle to realize it is actually brewed in the USA, and it is billed as the "official beer of Greece" or some such. The label says it is an "Amber Ale" but it really is a Lager. Golden/amber color with a medium thin white head. Fizzy with little lacing. Aroma is lightly hoppy and lightly malty. Somewhat light-bodied and mildly malty under a low level of hops and citrus. Not a beer I would seek out but goes okay with a gyro platter. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Dec 25, 2002 A Greek recipe brewed in the U.S. of A. Noticeably sourish with citrus and bready malt flavors. Interesting. This is probably better than Marathon or the other Greek lagers due to its variation from the norm.
