This particular Porter poured a small tan head with fine-medium bubbles. The lacing was fair. The body was brown in color. The aroma was that of chocolate and it had a smooth taste and mouthfeel. There was ever so slight of an aftertaste observed. I did not notice much of a coffee flavor with this Porter. This was one heck of a good Porter.

Oct 5, 2008 Pours opaque black with a nonexistent head. Aroma is roasty, mainly coffee, some chocolate and maltiness. Flavor follows the aroma, being somewhat bitter, then with some underlying malt sweetness showing through. Very decent, but not up to the level of the best porters.

Sep 30, 2008 Updated: Oct 1, 2008bottle. Looks and smells like a combo of an English Stout and an English bitter. Chocolate/malt nose and flavor. Looked like oil with a think brown head and little carbonation. Has the taste of a porter but tastes a lot like an English bitter and I would assume it’s because of English hops of some sort. Taste is kind of thin for what I like in a porter but I dig a good bitter and this is close to both.A bit on the watery side. Good brew though.

Sep 27, 2008 Poured a dark brown color with an off white head. Aroma was pretty bland mainly of weak roasted malts and maybe some muild chocolate. Flavor was much the same, pretty watery, not much to speak of here, but no off flavors.

Aroma of cocoa (some bitterness), light roastiness and nutty.
Taste, lightl bitterhops, roasted and torrefied, hazelnuts.
Notes of spices and yeast in the aftertaste.

Sep 12, 2008 Well, I had to buy this beer when the owner of the bar told me the story. Anyway, it pours a deep mahogany brown with a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly leaving no lacing. There wasn’t a lot to the smell honestly. I got some faint coffee aromas and some sweet malts with some nutty aromas as well. The taste was better, with a well defined roasted character. Chocolate malts and coffee were also present long with a bit of nuts and dark fruit as well. The mouthfeel was a tad thin, but had good carbonation. this porter was OK and it was very drinkable despite not being the most complex porter out there.
