This wasn’t quite as bad as I anticipated. Pale golden colour. Some hop detectable in the mix, and whilst not one to linger too long over its not a complete calamity. Have had much worse. anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Mar 30, 2009 Bottle @ chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2008. Pours a pale yellow color with a small white head. Has a sweetish grainy and slighlty malty aroma. Sweetish malty grainy flavor. Has a slighlty sweetish grainy finish. honkensponken (11), Sweden Mar 26, 2009 Ah Speciale! Cause that’s how you’ll feel after a few of these. I think this beer keeps fermenting in your stomach, it´s absolutly horrible. You can also get it on tap, but why should you? The tap version adds a stale, sweet taste to the mix. You´d think it´s because of storage problems at the bar but it tastes that way in every bar, it´s a problem with the beer. yngwie (4880), Kristiansand, Norway Feb 23, 2009 Can, kindly provided by Rune. I didn’t expect an interesting beer, and didn’t get one either. It’s quite decent thoug, especially considering it’s origin. It pours a clear, pale golden body under a nice, white head diminishing rather quickly. The nose is grainy and fruity, not especially strong, and with a touch of paper in the background. Malty sweet flavor with a fruity touch and some alcohol. Not much bitterness. Some bitterness occur in the finish, blended with grains and fruityness. Medium body. Overall it’s too sweet, and probably not as refreshing as a Moroccan beer should be. Not foul though. (081215) KnutAlbert (3101), Oslo, Norway Dec 29, 2008 Can, kindly shared by Rune.
Very sweet, plenty of malt. Some cardboard. No hops whatsoever. Watery. Cletus (4999), Connecticut, USA Dec 24, 2008 Pours straw color with a thin white head. Smells of skunky apples and sweet corn. Tastes dry and lightly malty. Not bad for what it is. Rune (2737), Tromsø, Norway Dec 19, 2008 330ml bottle shared with Yngwie and KnutAlbert. Late straw coloured body. White foamy head. Hints of malt and corn in the aroma. Flavoured with sweet fruits all the way, and just a note of late arriving grassy hops. Crisp in the mouth. Thin to medium bodied [Oslo, 15.12.2008, rating no.2000). Quack-Duck (3121), Bodensee/Schwarzwald, Germany Dec 18, 2008 bottle, Auchan Illkirch-Graffenstaden. Clear pale yellow nearly no head, hoppy nose. Watery and slightly beery onkly. Very shy hints of hopy and malts, otheriwse thin and watery. Thirst-quenching.
