Dec 3, 2005 On tap at the brewpub. This was a part of the "Vintage Ale" series. Brewed in 2004, this has been aged in the keg for well over a year. Amber brown in color with no head. Very little carbonation. You experience an explosion of flavor with this one: early tartness, roasted overtones, berry-like scent, roasted nutty toffee. This is on its way to being a junior barleywine. I’d say it has a chocolate-covered raspberry taste. Raspberry chocolate brown ale would have been a better name for this. Pretty remarkable.
