Pours a clear yellow with a small white head. Aroma of salsa and tortilla chips. Flavor is largely tortilla chips with a slightly spicy finish. Not really spicy at all (and I’m very sensitive to spices). This is a great beer! If you like tortillas and salsa (like I do), then you’ll enjoy this beer! So drinkable too.

Quite enjoyable actually. Taste is smooth then a nice jalapeno burn left me wanting another sip. fredandboboflo (1417), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 1, 2009 Growler. Aroma of green chili salsa. Flavor of that salsa with tortilla chips. Not hot at all, just mildly spicy and seemingly hit exactly the target they wanted to. Interesting take on beer, really don’t understand how it’s a sub-3, wasn’t overpowering or repulsive to me in any way. Rciesla (3791), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 1, 2009 PPRBSG09. Bottle. Pours an amber body with a golden off white head. Fresh peppers and light soil. Zesty pepper and fresh made salsa. Almost salad like pepper zest and light heat units. Best pepper beer ever. j12601 (1340), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 31, 2009 Growler at PilsnerPeter’s Spring Gathering. Pours a clear brown with a light white head. Smells, remarkably, of peppers. But very one dimensionally. Best (ok, only other) pepper beer I’ve had is one from Horesheads... the difference? That one captures all of the sweet fruit that a nice pod has going for it, in addition to the heat. On here, all I’m getting is that raw green chili heat. That I could live with. What gets me though is that flavor wise, almost all I was getting, is corn. CORN! This tasted like corn. With some peppers mixed in. Not too hot, which is nice, as, if I could get past the corn, I could put down a bit of this. But the corn flavor is just overpowering here. Very one dimensional. thewombat (112), Brooklyn, New York, USA

Tastes like spicy chili with a bitter edge, surprisingly clean for what it is, but the idea of a ’liquid enchilada’ makes my stomach turn. This beer tastes like plants.
