Pours a brownish amber with no head and no carbonation. Slight citrusy taste with very weak hops. I also have the porter in my beer cellar and I hop that it is better than this lame excuse for a beer. Flat Earth brewery should change its name to Flat Beer brewery if they make shit like this. Smells of resin, caramel, spice, earthy. Tastes bitter and resiny with some citrus elements and a caramel finish. Decent. GAManiac (1203), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Pours a clear bubbly amber with a big creamy head that recedes to a healthy cap and leaves good lacing.
Aroma has a light citrus hop presence up front and gives way to some light biscuity malts.
The taste is more of the same with a small hop presence up front that doesn’t compete too much with the dominant bready malt backbone. There is some caramel sweetness before a faint bitterness from the hops in the finish.
The mouthfeel is fairly light with lots of carbonation and a little dry in the finish.
Overall, it’s an enjoyable and drinkable pale from Flat Earth. There is certainly not a lot of complexity but it drinks nicely. MrRain (437), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jan 24, 2009 Bottle poured into a shaker. This beer pours amber colored with a very large head that settles a bit quickly. The aroma is malty with a light sting of hops. The aroma is a bit one dimensional. The taste is similar to an amber with a tad more hops. It is an easy drinking beer but not vey rememberable. The finish is quite dry and pretty easy. patrick767 (2052), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 1, 2009 22oz bottle - Pours copper with a two finger white head. The aroma is lightly toasted malt and some citrus hops. The flavor is moderately hopped with light caramel malt. It’s medium bodied and has a mildly bitter finish. There’s no depth here. It’s a simple pale ale that while decent, is not worth the bomber price. DalzAle (512), Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 7, 2008 Unfiltered version of an Angry Planet growler purchased from the brewery last week. Poured hazy orange with a one inch head into an imperial pint class. Fresh hops aroma right away with hint of grapefruit. The flavor had a little hops (wish there was more) and and almost sweet aftertaste. I would likely purchase again, but only if some of my other favorites were not available.

Citrus and piney hops in the distance with a light maltiness in there. Pour was beautiful. I’m a sucker for amber beer, and this is a deep dark amber with a nice 1 1/2 finger off white head. Taste was good. Earthy and citrus hops with a little caramel malt running through the middle. Nice strong and biting carbonation with a mouthdrying bitter aftertaste. Good beer! Was presented as an IPA,good IBU and lots of caramel and marmelade, we know now it is a pale. Wierd funky. Yellow with a little white head and spider lace. Drying. Average mouthfeel at best and an average beer. I could drink it once but not too tasty.
