Aroma is hops hops hops (notes of pine). Flavor is hops with a sweet touch that down plays the hops. Very earthy, floral taste. Almost leaves a residue feeling after each sip. Body is medium with light carbonation. Nothing special to say about this beer. WisconsinBeer (536), St Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 29, 2008 Copper color, minimal carbonation. Flavor is mildly sweet, with a bland grassy hop finish. Has a bit of an off flavor. Somewhat chalky on the palate. Medium bodied. Not very excited about this one, their other beers are better. amishcaravan (239), Winona, Minnesota, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 29, 2008 Had this for the Acadia re grand opening. Red copper pour. Dry and dusty nose. Some caramel and light hops, but there is a medicinal off flavor that I don’t particularly care for. Somewhat bland flavor as well. Certainly not the best beer from these guys. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 21, 2008 Draft at Acadia Cafe, Minneapolis. A little metallic in the nose, like an old submarine or train car. Murky, brownish orange with a ring of head. Grapefruit is the prevailing flavor. If that was intended then what was intended was achieved. If it wasn’t intended, then we have a problem.
There’s something a bit funky here; is it the organicness? Largely forgettable, just drinkable. It made me wonder, did brewmaster jeff take a sip of this brew and say "yes! I did it. This is awesome!"? Or did he say, "it didn’t come out the way I wanted but I think we can sell this."? I’m guessing the latter, but their website does say, "Some People Get It, Some Don’t". Perhaps I just don’t.
This is the third Flat Earth brew I’ve had, after the Cygnus Porter and the Winter Warlock. I didn’t care for the porter but really liked the Winter Warlock. I hope they make more beers like the Warlock and that they are successful. undsioux7 (564), Cologne, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 16, 2007 On tap at muddy pig. Clear amber/orange with a small off white head. Aroma of citris and just a bit of toasted malt. Citris and dank hops with some sweet malt. Some spice in there but didn’t seem to fit. A alchohol, bitter finish. Didn’t work for me. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 15, 2007 On tap at Buster’s. Amber body with red and orange hues; off-white head. Light, flowery hop aroma with some citrus. Medium body that is well-balanced. Unusually sweet for a pale ale with a nice caramel flavor and some lemon/orange tones. Hop bitterness is present throughout, but not overpowering. Finishes a little dry and sweet with a bitter hop bite.
