| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Tap at Muddy Pig. Dark gold color with a medium head. Very strong hop aroma that is a mix of citrusy American and floral German hops. Lots of honey flavor with a strong yeast and spice smack. A little coriander. The malt is sweet, but so very subtle that it’s not overpowering the honey. Everything a Tripel should be. grimreeser (797), Minnesota, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Sep 21, 2007 On tap. A clear golden color with a very thin head. A sweet sugar and honey aroma, some hops as well. Flavor was very sweet with a light bitterness at the end. Nice full mouthfeel, alcohol was well hidden. Excellent. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 1, 2007 Pours a nice pretty clear honey golden. Nice floral hops and light orange blossom honey sweetness. Nice honey sweetness upfront followed by a suprising, but delicious floral hop bite that carries the finish very nicely. Crisp, light nose that didn’t reveal much until extensive agitation released an aroma of honey and hops. Clenan gold color with no head. Very nice honey flavor with a hopy finish. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 9, 2007 On draught at the Happy Gnome in St Paul, Minnesota. Hey! It even came in its own Brandy Snifter with the Flat Earth brewrey logo printed on it. Cool! Pours a clear golden orange brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a thin ring and some spotty lacing. Aroma of Belgian yeast, multi-grain with wheat, red ripe beets and some vegetable. Taste is full bodied, hardly any carbonation with a thick and syrupy texture. Flavors picked up include sweet honey, some Belgian yeast, bubblegum and plenty of alcohol. Finish is semi-sweet with a dry hop aftertaste followed by bubblegum and plenty of alcohol warmth. By far one of the best brews from Flat Earth. JK (2961), Richfield, Minnesota, USA

Unfortunatly the beer appears filtered, nothing special to say about the appearance. Flavor is a very good combination of hops and sweet. The honey is certainly there. I can’t taste the sugar or the malt, but the beer is sweet enough that there must be considerable sugar. Great balance with the hops and honey. Almost more of a saison than tripel. undsioux7 (560), Cologne, Minnesota, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 2, 2007 Another nonconforming beer from flat earth. golden to amber in color with little head, it has a nice belgian yeast flavor with a nice light mix of the candi sugar, malt and honey. Nice and easy drinking. A lot of time when there is candi sugar, its way to cloying, but not this one. DalzAle (501), Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 26, 2009 Growler. Pale yellow pour, plenty of carbonation and a nice sweet and malty aroma. Flavor begins with a little banana, then the malt rolls in with some candi sugar and finished mellow and smooth. I haven’t had a good tripel in a while, but this might get me to search out some new good ones to try.
