Murky black, roasty brown, slim head.
rich, earthy coffeeish aromatics.
Coffee right off the bat, rich and flavorful, but not overpowering. Silky smooth on the palate, oatmeal doing the trick. Very easy-drinking, and energized. Gets better, and mellower as we get further in. Smooth and snappy!
This is the coffee stout to beat. It’s the Goldilocks of the style, not too big, not too small, ...ju-ust right!

Jul 3, 2008 Draft at Stub & Herb’s. Pours a black body with thin tan head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, cocoa, and a hint of oats. Medium, smooth mouthfeel. Strong coffee flavor with cocoa, roasted malts, and tobacco near the back of the palate. Bitter coffee finish. Very drinkable like most Flat Earth brews.

Jun 28, 2008 The second best thing they have done, after their tripel. Coffee aroma and coffee flavor with a little tobacco. Almost no carbonation. Lots of roasted malt, perhaps overly roasted. I like the combination of a thick, heavy beer with low carbonation.

Jun 26, 2008 Dark liquid pour with a finger thick tannish head. Coffee nose. Definite coffee flavor with a hint of lactose as well as cocoa. If you like coffee you will like this. Very smooth.
