This is not the most full flavored coconut beer I have had, but it has been done very well. Very smooth palate. Skyview (4034), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA

Pours an opaque dark brown colored brew with a thin and fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates clean. Aroma of toasted dark malt, some coconut, a hint of flowery hops and light spice. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of toasted dark malt, coconut, a hint of burnt marshmallow, popcorn and flowery hops. Finish has a burnt dark malt aftertaste with some coconut character. Poured dark black with medium carbonation that quickly subsided and smells of coconut oil (SPF30 maybe?) Flavor starts with pleasant mellow coconut, then into toasted malts and finished sweet and well balanced. Not the best coconut beer I’ve ever had, but definitely worth picking up a growler (which I did). September 3, 2009 Re-rate. New growler and better balanced than the previous sample. I can see this being a regular buy if they ever bottle this for stores.
