Tasted at the February Northern California Beer Tasting. This porter pours a eclipse black color form a 22oz bottle. Medium sized tan foamy head. Aroma is chocolate, brown sugar and coffee. Medium to full bodied porter. Malts are chocolate and coffee, touch of smoke. A nicely flavored and bodied balanced porter. Very drinkable. Nice dry finish. Mouthfeel is very full. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Deep red-brown. Wispy mocha head. Nose smoke, charcoal, bit of coffee. Palate is a mite thin, not enough body. Flavor is quite smoky, sharp roasts. Faint chocolate, mostly coffee bitterness. Needs a better palate, just doesn’t have enough heft to stand up to the nice roastiness.

Much Thanks go out to Stine for this one. Pours out a nice deep brown with slight reddish hues. Very small off-white head. Aroma is of milked down coffee, roasted malts and slight chocolate. Flavor is of bittersweet chocolate, lightly roasted malt, and slight coffee notes. Finishes a bit dry with some hop notes. Not bad...

22oz bottle thanks to tytoanderso for this one. Pours a brown color with red tints and a off white head. Nose is dry chocolate. Bakers chocolate, some roasted malts, and biscuit malts. Medium body. Chocolate malts, some dried fruits, a little coffee. Ok porter, but nothing to make it stand out.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a deep, dark brown body with red hues. Foamy, light brown head. Aroma of cocoa, roasted malts, sweet biscuit, and a hint of coffee. Medium bodied, although a little on the light side. Soft carbonation with a smooth mouthfeel. Chocolate and roasted malt flavors with some coffee and bread. Mocha coffee finish and aftertaste.
