Cola brown, light tan creamy head. Milk chocolate aromas warm to lighter notes of smoked coffee and vanilla. Toasty dark chocolate flavors balance on notes of roasted grains. Slight hop bitterness in the end brings the flavors together well. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry, bittersweet finish. Thanks for sharing, kmweaver!

Pours an intense dark brown with close to no head. Aroma is intense malts with undertones of rich coffee. Flavor is of cacao and dark chocolate mixed with malts. The body is medium light, but good for this beer. I really like this beer even if it unfortunately doesn’t get the attention it deserves.....

22 oz bomber bottle. Flat Earth, the bastard child of the Twin Cities brewing community, overlooked by it’s overachieving brother Surly. The Flat Earth crew is putting out some solid, but not necessarily amazing beers. Just straight forward good beers. Dark brown color, foamy decent looking head. Aroma is roasted malts, a bit of spice. Flavor is milk chocolate, a bit of roasted malt, and mild coffee. Sweet and mild on the palate. Medium bodied. Pretty decent session porter here.

Clear reddish brown color. Smelly toast and rye nose, with some dog food-crystal malt and some brown sugar notes as well. Up front there’s the faintest bit of chocolate malt and toast, turning more towards a husky grain flavor in the middle, finishing with a tinny dog food/cracklin’ oat bran flavor. Strong, forward, but not very tasty.

Courtesy of kmweaver. Clear dark brown with a small beige head. The nose is dark chocolate, molasses and cracker. The flavor is lightly sweet with grainy bread, dark chocolate, light smoke and molasses. Medium body is soft with light carbonation.

22oz bottle, courtesy of tytoanderso. Thanks, Tyler! Pours a dark, cherry cola color; light tan head with fine-bubbled lacing. Lots of chewy chocolate, roasted coffee, and dried fruits in the aroma; light spice. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: well-roasted coffee, plenty of chocolate, and chewy dried fruits; relaxed carbonation; silky smooth presence in the mouth, with lots of roasted / chocolate / bready notes. Medium, dry finish: coffee, dark chocolate, and lingering mineral hop bitterness; mouthdrying.
