Bottle [Sk8viking great American blind tasting] Large creamy off-white head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Light cloudy copper golden color. Aroma of mild sour notes, fruit, spice. Over the palate came pepper, fruit, caramel and grain like notes. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and light dry texture. Moderated sweet flavor with mild bitterness and sourness. Light spicy sweet finish. 5 / 3 / 5 / 3 / 10 = 2.6

A recent addition to the Ohio beer network I was looking forward to trying one of the Flat Earth releases. Three are currently available with hopefully more on the way. This brewery is now on the agenda for the Great Taste of the Midwest if they show up again.
Aroma / Appearance - The carbonated one finger pure white head settled above an amber hued body. Wheat, white wine and canned pears formed a combination that was more complex than I was expecting at first.
Flavor / Palate - The first sip combined sun tea and molasses. Next came brown sugar. More full bodied than expected this was a nice find and a new addition to the Ohio beer scene. The bitter finish left enough of a mark that I would try this on tap if I ever found it available. I wish more lighter styles were this good. Ibrew2or3 (2833), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jul 15, 2008 Courtesy of ’who brought this beer?’. Pours copper with a bit of haze and thin off white head. The aroma is sweet with date sugariness, sugary crystal malts, a bit of caramel and faint cherry. The taste attacks you with carbonation bringing in some ‘off the mark’ tartness along with lemon too. Soon after a caramel and date note both rise up to add a sweet fruity sensation. gunhaver (1043), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jul 14, 2008 Bottle, courtesy still def. Pours a clear brownish copper color, with a giant foamy white head and huge lacing. Some bitter hops in the nose, caramel, toffee, butterscotch. Somewhat subdued, though. Flavor has a lot of malts, sweet caramel, butterscotch, brown sugar, some spices. Nice. Mouthfeel is great, carbonated and filling, very enjoyable. Cletus (5059), Connecticut, USA
