Commercial Description:
UFO experts claim that this element combined with another element make UFOs fly. A true American style beer made with lager yeast fermented at warmer ale temperatures gives this beer a slight fruity character yet remains crisp and refreshing. What kind of beer is it? It depends on whom you ask. Some will call it a West Coast lager, some a California Common and other still will say amber hybrid. We hopped this beer with four different west coast varieties of hops, Northern Brewer, Cluster, Simcoe and Mt. Hood.

Bottle courtesy tpd975. Pours a slightly hazy copper with a one finger off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, slightly nutty, and a hint of floral hops. Taste is the same as aroma with hints of toasted malt and tons of hops. Medium moutheel with a moderate amount of bitterness. Good.

Bottle (22oz) shared with HogTownHarry, tupalev & garthicus -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a clear orange-amber with a massive foamy white head. Dry, musty yeasty aroma -- I suspect it’s slightly infected or slightly past it’s due date. Flavour: Meh, tastes old and bland -- dry, watery and yeasty with a bit of sourness. Average bodied. Overly carbonated. Not very good.

Bomber, thanks to Bob! Poured crystal-clear medium amber with a tall, thick, sticky cap of beige head.. quite lovely. The aroma picked up soft, dusty yeast notes disseminated through caramel, toffee, and light fruity sweetness.. a touch of brown sugar.. came off entirely pleasant. The flavor had toffee sweetness primarily with lesser caramel and some floral notes.. finished tacky with toffee and honey sweetness. Light-medium bodied with high, creamy carbonation.. almost felt nitrogen-injected.. OK feel for the beer. This was solid.

Bottle shared with Garthicus, Hogtown Harry, and Blankboy, courtesy of Harry. Musty dry aroma. Decent orange pour, huge gushing foamy white head. Taste is very dry, a tad sour and watery. Not too much here, the body is way too foamy to really let out any falvours. Past its prime likely.

Bottle (22oz). Shared with blankboy, garthicus and tupalev, my bottle via trade with Oakbluff. Hmmm - quite a near gusher on opening (I was warned, opened it slowly, still foamed), cloudy orange pour, huge frothy off-white head. Dry, peppery yeasty aroma, slightly metallic, light, vague caramel malt. A bit of fruit to the taste, sour, dry, peppery, stale - long stale aftertaste. Average, stinging mouthfeel, dry, seemed to attack my tongue a bit. Didn’t like it - california common? Frankly, I think it might have been a bit infected.

HogTownHarrys bottle, shared with Harry, Paul and Jeff: Huge gushing bottle, took Harry a couple of mins to open with care. Poured with a HUGE head. Golden body with a (now small after the storm) white head. Some flecks of yeast (?) in there. Aroma: Sour and musty, some banana too. Flavour, bitter, carbonated, quite a sour finish, can’t say I like it.

Bottle, pours a hazy orange with yellowish white head. Aroma of light floral hops and citrus. Flavor is more of the same with a nice, smooth, bitter hop tone. Nothing outstanding, but a very drinkable session beer.

@Arborfest 2008, on draft. Slightest malt aroma, deep amber color. Slightly bright on the tongue. Light flowery taste.
