Bottle (22oz). Shared with blankboy, garthicus and tupalev, my bottle via trade with Oakbluff. Hmmm - quite a near gusher on opening (I was warned, opened it slowly, still foamed), cloudy orange pour, huge frothy off-white head. Dry, peppery yeasty aroma, slightly metallic, light, vague caramel malt. A bit of fruit to the taste, sour, dry, peppery, stale - long stale aftertaste. Average, stinging mouthfeel, dry, seemed to attack my tongue a bit. Didn’t like it - california common? Frankly, I think it might have been a bit infected.

Jul 30, 2008 Cloudy amber with medium off white head. Sweet aroma with fruity and yeasty notes. Sweet yeasty flavor with caramel notes. Ends sweet with mild hoppy notes.

Jul 30, 2008 (Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of Skyview. Pours a slightly hazy amber golden with a dense off-white head. Lightly sweet citrusy nose. Medium body with some maltiness and lightly tart citrus. The finish a rather hoppy. Mostly reminds me of a decent German Zwickl. 260708

Jul 30, 2008 A bit of hops and malt otherwise the aroma is pretty much like a pilsner. flavor is the same; malty with notes of hops.

Jul 30, 2008 Bottle. A amber beer with a malty/straw, grassy aroma and taste, some hay. Medium body with a dry hay finish.

Jul 27, 2008 Bottled - tasted blind. A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel as well as light notes of phenol and something burnt. The flavor is sweet malty and rather spicy - lemongrass and black peber, leading to a dry spicy finish.
