I poured it into a pint glass and got a finger worth of white head that stuck a round a bit then faded to nothing. The body of the brew was clear copper in color.
The aroma was hop forward with a light malt backbone. There is a slight bready yeast smell in here as well. The flavor is dry hoppy citric in nature with a good malt balance. The feel in my mouth was light and refreshing with great carbonation.
It was real easy to drink. I could have finished a few more glasses of this easy. I did like the style so I will try a few more but this one was a quite interesting brew.

Mouthfeel is also moderate to full. Overall I like this beer quite well, and would gladly enjoy one again sometime. gunhaver (1044), Tampa, Florida, USA

Pours a clear brownish copper color, with a giant foamy white head and huge lacing. Some bitter hops in the nose, caramel, toffee, butterscotch. Somewhat subdued, though. Flavor has a lot of malts, sweet caramel, butterscotch, brown sugar, some spices. Nice. Mouthfeel is great, carbonated and filling, very enjoyable. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA

Light hop aroma as well as some tropical fruit. Nice easy drinking flavor with a significant bitter finish to it.
Re-rate: Out of a bottle, and oh how it has improved. NIce deep flavors with a great ripe fruit and biscuity malt, and a nice bittering finish. Definately worked the recipe out. kramer (2527), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 21, 2009 22 oz bottle. Pours a clear copper body with lots of active carbonation under a large frothy off-white head. The nose is lightly fruity with toasty and lightly caramel malt. The flavor is nicely malty, dry and a bit dusty even, with an Ale like fruity finish. Light floral hops keep things in balance. Light to medium bodied with s soft finish and moderate fizzy carbonation. Overall, really pretty great, especially compared to the others I’ve had from Flat Earth. An excellent attempt at making an Anchor Steam clone. badgerben (3610), Blaine, Minnesota, USA

Taste is very much the same: a lot of grass, some bitterness which is mellowed by a good sweet malt base. Very decent. ¾ (5009), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 17, 2008 22oz bottle. Amber honey colored body, full clarity, with a sticky white head. Inviting nose full of red apple and bread-centered yeast esters... some butter and some fusel alcohol but both of these are quite faint... the distinct aroma and flavor of fresh dough and apple cobbler is very nice, and the body is appropriately snappy and dense. For whatever reason, this comes off very well, very close to fresh Anchor Steam. Did I get a good batch or fresh bottle, or am I just off-kilter here? Kinz (2221), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA

Light caramel malt aroma, with some minty hops. Light biscuit malt flavors with good hop flavors mixed in, lots of earthy and minty hops, perhaps even a bit of woodiness. Nice, and I think this is an excellent example of a hop focused California Common. I thought it did a really good job of highlighting the Northern Brewer.
