Commercial Description:
Ovni Ale has a substantial and complex malt profile with flavors of toffee and caramel and a restrained hop bitterness. The beer is very smooth and deceptive at 7.1% ABV. Brewed in the spring to get you through the summer. The high amount of carbonation keeps this beer light on the palette and refreshing.

Bottle courtesy of tytoanderso. Pours brown with a rocky white head. Smells of sweet malt, some fruit, spice, tea. tastes tarte with some earthy hints. Overdone for the style.

Tap. Sliglty sweet, with a moderate malty base. Very light on the pallate with a muted hop aspect there. A little to bland for me. "There was also some old dried flowers and library books" WTF? When you smell library books in your beer, its time to call it a night.

Bottled. Deep garnet body with a light khaki head. The aroma was dusty with fresh grain. There was also some old dried flowers and library books. The taste was lightly sweet kettle corn with some dusty hay notes. There was also a little bit of fall leaves. A solid and well made brew.

Aroma of warm, salty, aged gouda. Lightly sweet malt and yeast, and a lacing head. Unusual for sure, and it is cool they have tried this rare style.

Another great beer by Flat Earth. On tap at the Muddy Pig in St. Paul. Poured amber. Aroma malt and spice. Very malty and yeasty taste with caramel and spice. Re-rate from a bottle. This time the taste was much more sour with fruity notes. Not as much malt as I remember and not as good as on tap.

Bottle, pours a clear, copper-brown body with tan foam head. Aroma of malts, caramel, and a hint of flowers, maybe hops. Flavor is mostly malts, caramel, and sugar. There is also a tone of coffee bean or cocoa in the flavor. Smooth mouthfeel with a somewhat clean malty finish.

Deep nice looking reddish orange color with a decent size foamy head. Flavor is strongly malt, some toffee, just a bit sweet. Hops are mild and relegated to the background. Medium to light bodied, well carbonated. I’m digging this beer, seems to be one of the better ones made by Flat Earth so far.

Pours a amber hued brown with thick tan head that dissipates to a bit of lacing. Aroma is malts and caramelized sugar. Flavor is biscuity malts and toffee. Yeast flavor is sweet. Body is medium with fair carbonation. Colaesque body.
