Commercial Description:
Available in December Winter Warlock was made in the tradition of some of England’s great barley-wine ales. Our beer is made with delicious base malt and sugar. We boiled for over two hours to caramelize some of the sugars. The final product is as smooth as freshly resurfaced ice with a subtle hop character. This beer pairs nicely with calamari, ham and quail. Enjoy this beer with someone special on a cold winter’s night. Get cozy by a roaring fire, and take time to reflect on how each beer is as unique as a snowflake.

Pours awfully goldy for a barley wine. Aroma of dried fruit, gold raisins, pumperknickel. Tastes toasty, grassy and dry. Finishes quite caramelly, almost like over-oaked chardonnay. Weird for a barley wine AND winter seasonal. Okay.

(22oz bottle) Pours a clear yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, orange peel, grass, toffee, fruit, and herbs. Flavor of yeast, caramel malt, apple, and mild hops (earthy, grass, herbal).

Bomber bonus via trade with faro/faro99. Thanks Jeff. Pours yellowish with a puffy tan head. Poured into a pint glass at a friend’s so the look may be tweaked. Nose is sweet and malty and slightly fruity. Taste is sweet and rich all in all better than i expected.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours a clear gold/orange with white head. Aroma of some citrus and malt. Flavor is pretty nice, some malt and citrus. Mouth feel is medium body and medium-high carbonation. Overall, not bad at all....I just have issues of seeing this as a barley wine...

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a thick white head over a hazy golden body. Aroma of alcohol, floral hops, and caramel. Taste is very sweet with honey and light hops. Syrupy mouthfeel, light bubbles. No real alcohol in the taste for a Barley Wine.
