Pershing (64), Garland, Texas, USA Aug 17, 2008 Medium clear amber with a small head that quickly diminishes. Slight malty aroma with a littler bitterness. The flippy bottle is the only thing special about this beer. Not worth 18 cents per ounce. Bottle brown, 330 ml, 11.3 P
Appearance: Pours perfectly clear bright brown to red, dark orangy, rather lacking deepness in its colour of body, body carbonation is rather soft, head is rather rocky, quite big in size, yellowish, cappuccino like, off - white in colour, when it comes to colour of the body reminds me more a Vienna than a Dunkel, there is considerable lecing and all in all the appearance is very nice.
Aroma: Munich malt, some mild hints of toasted malt, very faint notes of aromatic hops, a bit creamy, a bit flowery, generally very faint aroma.
Flavour: Very nice burned roasty touch of barley, Munich malt, on the other hand there is a very nice slight bitterness on palate and slightly flowery nose, a bit smoky in retronasal aroma with pronounced roasty grains on palate. Finish duration is medium to long, bready.
Palate: Body is light to medium, texture is a bit syrupy, carbonation on palate is soft, finish feel is toasty, roasty, slightly bitter but first of all rather clean with smoked notes.
