ha1ag (238), Netherlands Jun 10, 2008 Bottled (flipcap) from Metro in gyor, Hungary. Color is nice nut brown but clear with thick creamy beige head. Nose is roasted malts. Aroma is roasted malts, with proper hops and some candysugar. Nice bitterness at the end. Well balanced beer, very pleasant!
Nekronos (2003), Xalapa, Mexico Nov 21, 2008 VEyr nice, not so dunkel, I guess it’s no a schwartz, but still good in malts. RollinHard (547), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Oct 15, 2008 Pours a clear rusty orange with a small dissapating white head. Aroma is caramel, sweet potato, dirt, and maybe a little cheddar. Tastes caramelly, with some toast, a strange astringency bordering on skunk, and something like grass gone bad. Finishes toasty and nicely bitter, but I think there’s a trace of burnt popcorn there that’s kinda offensive. Light bodied and clean feeling. Drink this cold to hide the off elements, but the off elements arent too terrible thankfully. pj1855 (88), Eagan, Minnesota, USA Sep 30, 2008 Pours dark amber color with a one finger frothy white head. Very sweet aroma of caramel. Beer starts off pretty light almost watery and then has a rather bitter finish. Not myfavorite Dunkel. DerWeg (447), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 3, 2008 Bottle from shop, Volksdorf. Only a slight malt ’edge’ to this lovely dark lager. Toasty with some hops bittering. Caramel. Good beer if fresh. Pershing (113), Garland, Texas, USA Aug 17, 2008 Medium clear amber with a small head that quickly diminishes. Slight malty aroma with a littler bitterness. The flippy bottle is the only thing special about this beer. Not worth 18 cents per ounce.
