| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 20, 2007 Bottled. Copperish amber colour with mediumsized beige head. Lots of lacing. Aroma is caramelly malts with some slight smoked snotes. Flavour is acidic fruits, slightly roasted malts and some toffeeish hints. A bit watery and not too interesting. sayravai (3757), Helsinki, Finland
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 16, 2007 (Bottled) Quite clear, dark ruby with a largeish, slightly tanned and lacy, quite tight head. Slightly sweet, roasty-caramely-malty aroma. Slightly ashy, acidic-malty, lightly roasty flavor with some saltiness and hints of licorice. No yeast here, either. Medium-bodied, foamy, slightly thin and acidic palate. Slightly better and tastier than the blonde, but nothing to write home about. Jerre (1755), Waregem, Belgium

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 23, 2007 Does big JW’s generosity know no bounds? Aromas of Marstons’s, candlewax, pears, cinnamon, blackcurrant, barrel, nosebleed. Misty ruby with a halo of beige. Watery and tinny at 7%, but redeemed by an odd and sourish note of cidery earthiness. More interesting than it intends to be. BelgianBeerGal (1306), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 27, 2007 33cL bottle. Agree with other raters that this is my least favorite of the Florival family. Fairly weak flavor, aroma, and watery mouthfeel. Decent but below Belgian standards.
