Some sweetish, slightly chocolatey malt-notes. Perhaps also a hint of licorice. Very smooth and delicious. A nice dubbel, although it’s just a supermarket-brand. 160696 MiP (9080), Sønderborg, Denmark

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 20, 2007 Bottled. Copperish amber colour with mediumsized beige head. Lots of lacing. Aroma is caramelly malts with some slight smoked snotes. Flavour is acidic fruits, slightly roasted malts and some toffeeish hints. A bit watery and not too interesting. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 5, 2005 Dark brown colour with a off-white head. Spicy raisin fruity aroma and taste. Medium body and a sweet dry finish. JorisPPattyn (5171), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Nov 1, 2005 Huge, yellow-brown head, dense and firm as whipped cream; opaque dark red-brown beer. Dry, woody nose, green leaves aromas. Dry, nonsweet dark malts and ambrée malts, caramel & toffee. Liquorice flavour without sweetness, unidimensional dark malts taste, empty. Flavour like extremely watery black tea. Like chewing a totally out-chewed branch of liquorice. Impossible combination of a thick malty texture and a totally empty palate. Certain slickness, dry and - did I mention empty? "Boring" is much too good for this. It is not revolting. In fact, I’m at my wits’ end. This is supposed to be the same as Affligem dubbel, and as Postel bruin. They couldn’t be more different, all three of them. Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 3, 2003 A very average Belgian Bruin. It has the classic elements i.e. the maltyness and a caramelly touch. MoritzF (4946), Bochum, Germany

Malty aroma with caramel and some banana and vinous notes. Sweet malty flavour with a liquorice bitter finish. Creamy textured, smooth & not bad. jerc (3911), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
