Flavor is wheat, spice, yeast, alc and banana. Medium body with light carbonation. Way too much alc for me and a wierd choice for an anniversey beer, but here’s to another guys! The head was short, bubbly, white, and reduced quickly to a lasting film. Attractive aroma of clove, pastry, and citrus (lemon greater than orange). Medium bodied and slightly sweet with noticeable alcohol warmth. Tasted of citrus liqueur, clove, a splash of sparkling white wine, and a hint of vanilla. Nice. tmoreau (598), Lombard, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 1, 2008 Snifter served at the brewpub. Poured a fairly clear, light gold hue with a foamy, white clingy head which reduced down to a small 1/2" ring of lace. Besides the light citrus and spice aroma, detected a little nuttiness. Light malt sweetness & hop dryness balanced with a little yeasty/banana flavor. Creamy mouthfeel throughout. Not overly alcoholic taste for 9% abv., but presence was felt. Pleasant! | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 28, 2008 On tap at Flossmoor Station and served in a snifter. This beer poured a cloudy golden hue with a one-finger thick head of off-white foam. Decent retention with just a touch of lace. The aroma of the beer was made up of lemon zest, orange peel, and a light yeast spiciness. The flavor consisted of citrus, bread, spicy yeast, and a moderate alcohol warmth. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with mild carbonation. Decent and drinkable, but lacking in complexity. Cornfield (4972), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 20, 2008 I had this at the Mug Club tapping and on subsequent visits. It pours a cloudy dark straw body with a short head. The nose is yeasty and has cherries, lemon, alcohol, warm spices, and an underlying pale malt sweetness. The flavor has a light funky sourness to it and a touch more alcohol. Later visits added some soft bananas to the mix. Not bad.

Pours nice light golden in color with billowing white head. Aroma is of grains and yeast. Flavor is on light side with light malts, grain and yeast. This is a nice refreshing ale with some citrus. On the light side for the styly but enjoyed quite a bit for the style. holdenn (1445), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 14, 2008 On tap at the Station 7/10/08. Based upon the 10 and 11, I had pretty high expectations for this one. Pours a hazed yellow hay color with a white head. Yeasty citrus, grain, spice, herb, and a subtle funk. Lemons, yeast, Belgian spices in the flavor. Its a little overly sweet and definitely overly spicy. A bit odd of a beer that’s mediocre overall.
