Served a lightly-hazed amber with a frothy, off-white head. Tart, stone-fruit nose with green Euro-hop edges. Tart, fruity flavor mellows to become refreshingly "summer". Low impressions of an English Mild (possibly due to the malt?) Certainly not bad for a fruit beer. ~~~~~~~~~~ On draught, Flossmoor Station Restaurant & Brewery, Flossmoor, IL.

GTMW 2009. Poured a clear medium orange color with a white head. Light fruity aroma reminiscent of orange and apricot. Light bodied and delicately sweet. Tasted of subdued apricot juice with a fresh cereal grain note that strengthened toward the end and lingered. Simple fruit beer. Decent enough, but not much of a stand-out.

On tap at the GTMW. Light amber with a thin white head. Aroma of apricot, honey, malt and mild grassy hops. Taste of apricot, light bready malt and light hops. Very thin palate and finishes up dry with a hint of bitterness.

(Draught) Pours a clear yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of grass, citrus, apricot, and earthy herbals. Flavor of mild hops (grass, herbal, citrus), apricot, and cracker with a bitter finish.

Draft pint at FS. 3% abv? Sure, that’ll be my second beer. Brownish amber color under a thin but slightly frothy head. NO fruit in the first sniff, but some piny hops. Clearly continuing the tradition here of hoppy session beers, mouthfeel is a tad light at the start, but then the taste kicks in. First offers some catty hoppiness, partly due to the apricot, too. Fruit works its way in via a slightly sour and zesty character. I’m put in mind of the bastard child of an American Pale Ale and a Berliner Weisse. Truly tastes great and less filling.

Sample at the brewpub. Poured a clear golden tone with a white, fairly lasting, foamy head and blotches of clingy lacing. The aroma was a little floral and fruit as concentrated apricot puree. The flavor fell off from the expectations of the aroma with undistinguishable fruit juice tartness, low carbonation, thin body, and low hop bitterness with some saved for the finish. Disappointed.

hazy apricot color, small quickly disappearing head, nicely lacy. aroma has hint of apricot, a touch of florally hoppiness. flavor is apricot, a bit ’fuzzy’ (almost like a peach ’fuzziness’), and a light bitter hoppiness. medium bodied, dry finish. quite amusing. i really like apricots, so this is one fruit beer that might appeal to me. and it is light on the alcohol, so you can enjoy it at the brew-pub and still be of a mind to drive home (unless you drink it all night ans start singing at the bar. why didn’t they cut those guys off?). on tap at the brew-pub. and someday i might complete my quest to finally kill off ’recession-ale’ .

The beer that stubbornly refuses to die is secretly reincarnated as an apricot ale. Thankfully it is pretty subdued...light aroma of apricots and caramel malts. Flavor is light and refreshing...sweet apricot, but very subdued, and sweet caramel malt and some distant PNW hopping in the background. Decent hot weather brew, light and refreshing...I wholeheartedly endorse Cornfield’s suggestion that everyone hit this one hard and repeatedly...before it’s gone forever! I realy mean it!
