Fruity nose is slightly sweet and vinous. Medium bodied. A delicate balance of sweet fruity, earthy/citric hops and drying alcohol. A well-made dubbel. lemonlovr (187), Lockport, Illinois, USA

Flavor is lacking and the overall effect is thin. My personal favorite in this style is New Belgium Abbey - try it if you haven't! ¾ (5011), Boulder, Colorado, USA

It seems alive with just the right amount of carbonation and funky yeast. Tiny amounts of spice keep it from being too sappy or sugary and the alcohol (whatever it may be) masked. Hints of cherry or another berry flirted with me at the end of each glass. A wonderful afterdinner treat. DrnkMcDermott (1871), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA

Ah, if I am fortunate in one thing in life, it's that my work/home situation means I can hop off the commuter train at one of America's finest brewpubs on my ride home. I'm no Belgian expert, but this I do know: It's dark brown, with a thin, less carbonated mouthfeel like a session bitter. Nicely matly with roasty and coffee aspects, and a slight "juicy fruit" or cherry aspect.. It reminds me of a hearty porter or even a Russian Imperial Stout, under a thin, lacy Belgian head. Finishes just yummy, too! Take the Metra Electric from Michigan Avenue to beer bliss! Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA

Clear orange/red color, full mouthfeel. The malt taste in this is exceptional. Won the gold and it deserves it. Ringo (959), Loveland, Colorado, USA
