Commercial Description:
Fruit beers originated in Belgium and we at The Station are proud to offer our version of these continental classics. Our light-bodied Chessie Cherry Wheat is a blend of red cherries and wheat ale, which yields a slightly sweet, yet agreeably tart, fruit ale.

Cloudy light amber body with just a hint of red. Full foamy head tops it off. Aroma of wheat and cherries. Fairly smooth brew. It starts sweet with wheat, malt, and cherries and ends with a nice tart bite. Pretty good example of a wheat fruit beer.

Smells of cherry cordials. Flavor is the same with some extra creme fresh and wheat. Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth. Finish is short but the sweetness lingers. I am a fan.

This poured a lgiht red color with a white head. Aroma was cherries and spices, nothing special. Flavor was sweet fake cherries, some wheat notes as wekll. Having two fruit wheat beers as regular offerings is a bit odd.

(10/14/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in Flossmoor. Murky red color. Aroma of cherries, slightly medicinal character and some soapy notes. Sweetish flavor with some sourish cherries, some malty notes, a bit of wheat and some yeast. Medium-bodied.
