Commercial Description:
Fruit beers originated in Belgium and we at The Station are proud to offer our version of these continental classics. Our light-bodied Chessie Cherry Wheat is a blend of red cherries and wheat ale, which yields a slightly sweet, yet agreeably tart, fruit ale.

Pours a hazy amber color with a thin white head. Strong aroma and flavor of cherries and wheat. The body is light to medium with an oily texture and moderate carbonation. Quite good for a cherry wheat.

Sampler flight at Flossmoor Station. Artifical cheryy nose, amber colored pour, medicine-y finish. Thick bodied with hints of vanilla on finish. Not the best cherry wheat.

Had this on draught at the brewpub in Flossmoor, Illinois. Dark yellow, clear fizzy pour with a pronounced, almost artificial marischino cherry nose, with a creamy, nearly medicinal, vanilla bite in finish. Not great.

Draught at the brew pub. Slightly hazy orange color with a white head that laced the glass. Smelled of light cherry candy (ala cherry jolly rancher) and a bit of peach. Dry on the tongue with a distinct cherry compote flavor.

Pint at FS - Aroma is cherry Jolly Rancher. Pours light copper with a small head and good lacing. Flavor is a malty match to aroma. Clean palate. Good for what it is, but not my style.

On tap at the brewery on 10/21/2006 at the 2nd monthly meeting of the Chicago Ratebeer group.

Darker golden with a thin white head that is long lasting. Good lacing. Nose is very cherry with a huge taste of yeast with slight amounts of cherry but more tangy. The nose is definately the strong part here.

On tap at the brewpub. The body was medium gold with a little haze and a white head. The aroma was cherries with some vanilla. There was also some cinnamon bread. The taste is subtle with dry cherries and some bread crust. This was good for the style. A bitter and annoying cherry pit finish.

(Draught) Pours a clear golden body with a moderate off-white head. Aroma of bing cherries. Flavor of cherries (somewhat soda like) and wheat with a bitter finish.
