It’s a bitter American wheat blended with maraschino cherries. And I’ve loved those cherries since I was a kid. They even put one in my beer, which I ate. If not for that, this would get a much lower rating from me.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 5, 2005 Long lasting wheat-type head emiting a strong tart cherry aroma. The sweetness is not overbearing in any way. Weird bite in the aftertaste that I can’t quite nail down. Surprisingly refreshing, although I can’t see myself drinking more than one at a sitting. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 24, 2004 Sample at the brewpub. Cloudy darkish amber, lasting creamy head....candied cherry nose with a faint sourness...sourdough maltiness in the body with some not unpleasant cherry cough syrup...late effervescence and dry sourness is slightly reminiscent of a fruit lambic..this grew on me quite a bit, though not enough that I’d really push it. joeycapps (1466), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 16, 2004 Hazy honey-gold. Slight red hue. Frothy off-white head. Strong artificial, maraschino cherry aroma. Slightly syrupy, lightly gritty feel. Sweet, chalky flavour gives way to a mildly tart cherry finish. ¾ (5009), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 22, 2004 Smells of cherries and wheat, big surprise. Reminds be of the Sam Adams versions... bland and with another all-purpose-fruit flavor, like the raspberry wheat. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Jan 16, 2004 Pretty weird. More ale than cherry. Again, Flossmoor seems to use the same base beer for both their cherry and raspberry beers, and it tends to dominate the fruit flavors, leaving you wishing they'd put more fruit in their beer. You can't blame the ale for overpowering the cherries, because it's just a golden ale, light in color. Blah humbug! CaptainCougar (5530), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 30, 2003 Clear golden with a puffy white head. Good lightly sour cherry aroma. Body is uninteresting with some pale malt and cherries showing up toward the finish. A step up from Sam Adams.
