Cloudy red amber colour. Odd raspberry slightly aged aroma. Good wild fruit. Lots of raspberry. It does have some very decent fruit. MesandSim (5940), London, Greater London, England
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 28, 2009 A Mes rate. Bottle at Chris O’s pre NYE tasting. Well done to Phil for pulling this random nutter out. Hazy brown with a slight red hue and a faint off white collar. Massive seedy raspberries on the nose with some good wooden notes backing it up. Slight petrol and chlorine are holding it back a little but it’s no showstopper. The flavour is excellent. This does not drink anything like a lambic, more like a raspberry brown. This is backed up by the caramel notes that are starting to show due to age. Excellent tarty behaviour (and you know, I like a bit of that) with a really clean mouthfeel. Nice bug count all round. The fruit is quite excellent actually and gives it a lovely tarty finish. Quite unique really and jolly tasty. Magicdave6 (5558), London, Greater London, England

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 14, 2006 Sampled from bottles graciously opened by our hosts at Flossmoor on 4/28/06: Pours a transparent copper orange with a thin, wispy-lacing white head. Sweet, fruity raspberry aroma has some good caramel maltiness and nice tart presence. Starts with a pleasant malty and fruity sweetness with good authentic character and bursting with lots of sweet raspberries. Well-balanced with a light tartness and good oaky notes. Very similar, but better than New Glarus Raspberry Tart. An awesome fruit lambic! JorisPPattyn (5192), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 28, 2008 Updated: Jan 29, 2009Short-lived pinkish head over red-amber beer. Very sourish nose, especially initially, with both raspberries (real ones) and acetic acid, as well as old wood. Beautiful madeirisation in what is probably oak. Fresh flavours, despite the acids and the oxidation, with both cherries and raspberry – again old wood & complex esters. Age has led to some thinning; titillating MF, soft burning. Raspberry juice flavour with acids lingering on in the aftertaste, some leather; Very nice beer. Rather than of Belgian fruitlambics, it reminds me of the old, aged Zottegemse Kriek, hailing from Crombé, that I used to serve. And that is no mean compliment neither. Abject thanks to Matt VW, ToddA, and of course, my go-between Ward! JoeMcPhee (5025), Jackson Heights, New York, USA

A touch of chewy sweet raspberry character over a faint acidic tartness. A kiss of vanilla and light spice as well. Decent beer, if a little bit strange.
