Didn’t last long, but looked real good up front. The aroma had a Bourbony sweetness supported by dark toffee, lightly roasted malt, and a touch of juicy dark stone fruits. The flavor seemed just a bit boozey, but that’s something that I rarely mind. A touch of oaken vanilla and some milk chocolate are added to the flavor. The finish has a Bourbon stickiness to it. Nice.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 8, 2008 On tap at Flossmoor Station and served in a snifter. This beer poured a dark brown with some light mahogany edges. A one-finger thick head of tan foam quickly faded into a few lingering bubbles. The aroma of the beer was made up of bourbon, light molasses, and dark fruits. The flavor included moderate bourbon notes, light chocolate, molasses, burnt caramel, and fruit (pear/apple). A nice blend of flavors with the bourbon complementing the other characteristics very well. The mouthfeel was medium to full-bodied with light carbonation and a slightly dry finish. Very tasty. Mellow bourbon notes make this work.
