Aroma is of hops, pine, citrus, alcohol, tropical fruit, and malt. Taste is of tropical fruit and bitter, juicy hops. A large amount of citrus and pine to it as well. Dry malt backbone, which gets lost amongst the other flavors. Big alcohol burn that lingers long after each sip. A bit too heavy for an IPA, which I didn’t expect. A very good beer nonetheless.

Pours dark clear gold with a one finger white head. The nose is fresh citrus and malt. The taste is citrus, toffee and light pine in the finish. Medium bodied. Nice IPA. hellbilly (1566), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA

hazy pour is a golden-yellow amber-ish color and is capped by a thin white head.
the smell is spicy... mixed in are also a bit ofcitrus, woody, woodsy earth, dirt and some faint non resinous pine.
the palate is really dry while the flavor matches the aroma... somewhat. it is heavy on the spice hops, dirt and moist earth. citrus, pine and malt take a back seat.
the texture is smooth like mud... 6/4/6/3/13/3.2 riversideAK (2803), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 26, 2009 Nose is fresh and fruity. Grapefruit, floral notes, woody, earthy hops, some butter shows up. Murky orange, light foam on top, no lace. Lightly citrusy hops, juicy, woody, leafy flavors. Toasted malts and doughy bread. Some alcohol shows up too. Decent ipa, drinks well, but doesn’t have too many interesting qualities. bvc (349), Kenmore, Washington, USA

Danky caramel, wet grass, light citrus, some malt and a touch of butter. Flat and a bit wattery. Pine butter, malty ginger, wet grass, not much bittering at all. First Flossmoor I’ve had in a bit, and really a bit of a let down. TheEpeeist (1493), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA

Nose is mandarin orange, peach, toffee and candied lemon peel. Delicate and delightful. Medium light with a sharp tingle. Taste is caramel, cantaloupe and orange peel. Pine and juniper kick in with a dry bitter finish. My new favorite Flossmoor IPA. 3Faveryrogue (113), Aslip, Illinois, USA

Mouth is upfront, and very pleasant. Pale biscuity malt back. Excellent bitter middle and end. Restored my faith in Shimkos’ IPA run. Great IPA. jah noth (1023), Rochester, New York, USA
